African Queen / African Princess

Before the Zambezi River plunges down the black basalt rock as a raging waterfall, it is a calm body of water infused with life. The section of river on the upper Zambezi is strewn with sandy islands, clad with lush tropical vegetation in an area of renowned scenic beauty. The river flows through the National Park and beckons wildlife and birdlife to its banks.

Pods of hippo’s wallow in the water, schools of fish dart beneath the boat and the scale backs of resident crocodile can be seen casting ripples across the surface.

The African Queen and the African Princess are berthed just upstream of The Victoria Falls at the Royal Landing jetty.  The boats meander approximately 3km up stream along the length of the Mosi-au-Tunya National Park treating passengers to sophisticated views of the Zambezi River and the surrounding game reserves.  A number of animals and a host of bird species may be viewed during the cruise.
