This week's Bushtracks Best is Gift Simakalanga, the Operations Supervisor for Zambia.

Gift has been working for Bushtracks since 2006, and we certainly appreciate every one of those 12 years of dedication, hard work and warmth. In 2010 Gift was promoted from Consultant to Operations Supervisor due to his exemplary performance.

He has been awarded several different awards for his hard work, positive attitude and dedication, including "International Labour Day, Award winner for Best BTA Employee, Zambia" in both 2015 and 2018, as well as multiple "Employee of the Month" awards.

Gift takes on everyday with a great positive attitude and willingness. The following is tribute to just how valued his initiative and proactivity is in the Zambian office:

"The winner for the Employee of the Month of May is Gift! Gift has been selected because of his proactivity in training the new staff. He has come up with a training program that has helped both him and the Consultants to understand how Operations Department functions. He has had positive feedback from the trainees and Managers. Gift has also shown maturity in his role, by taking charge of the department when both Tendayi and Chanda are absent. A very well deserved win for Gift!"

Gift's positivity and ability to achieve is helped by his enjoyment of his job. He had the following to say about why he enjoys being a part of the Bushtracks Africa team:

"It has given me an opportunity to be part of this great company which is involved in clients satisfaction and in helping communities through its Social Responsibility policy. Not only that, but Bushtracks also looks after their staff welfare. I am excited to be part of the Bushtracks team that does such wonderful work, that makes a difference in the lives of many."
