The Conservation & Wildlife Fund (CWF) is a non-profit trust which focuses on conservation in the Hwange National Park region of Zimbabwe.

It has recently been announced that the organization has decided to increase the conservation levy, paid by guests visiting the area overnight, for 2019 and 2020. This is due to various wildlife populations in the region being under duress. The CWF has found the dwilindling elephant and populations in Southern Africa of great concern, and are also troubled by rhino species nearing extinction.

After careful consideration, it was decided that the conservation levy will be increased to USD 15,00 per person per night for 2019, and will then increase to USD 20,00 per person per night in 2020. This levy will only be applicable to new bookings made after the increase was announced, and will not be applied to pre existing bookings.

The levy will help the CWF raise significant funding for anti-poaching and conservation efforts in the region, and therefore it is vital that people keep visiting this beautiful area to ensure that it remains bountiful and densely populated with wildlife.
