KUYENDA BUSHCAMP EXEMPLIFIES RUSTIC GLAMOUR AFTER A REBUILD.
The secluded setting of Kuyenda Bush Camp in the beautiful South Luangwa National Park is truly spectacular. Kuyenda Bushcamp embodies the unique appeal of old Africa with its grouping of traditional thatched huts and Robinson Crusoe vibe, set beneath leafy trees by the Manzi River. The surrounding plains and nearby springs provide ample opportunity to view animals without leaving camp. In time for the 2021 season, the camp has undergone a full refurbishment and redesign. The bushcamp feels refreshed while preserving its authentic feel, thanks to some exceptional new additions.
The main space and all of the chalets have been rebuilt on elevated teak platforms. The lounge and dining room have been moved and extended and now boast a magnificent view of the adjacent savannah. In the en-suite bathrooms, bucket showers have been replaced with hot and cold running water. Each chalet now has its own balcony and an open-air shower with a view. Additional game viewing opportunities on walking safaris and game drives are possible with an extra ranger and vehicle now at the camp.
Kuyenda now has an additional 2 rooms, bringing the total number of rooms to 6 and offering additional flexibility for single travellers and groups. The natural colour palette and uncomplicated décor captures the essence of ancient Africa and highlights the drama of the African wilderness that plays out each day all around the camp.
