We are excited to announce the addition of KC Hoppe as a Bushtracks team member. KC joined Bushtracks in October 2021 as Director of Business Development, USA. She is a travel industry executive with more than 25 years of experience and strong industry contacts across all segments of luxury travel. She looks forward to collaborating with our team members in Africa, London and the US and our global partners to generate new opportunities and business for Bushtracks Expeditions.

KC previously worked at Backroads, a leading active travel company based in Berkeley, California, for nearly 20 years. She developed travel agency sales from global agencies, generating over $32 million in annual sales.

She left Backroads in 2007 for five years. In 2007, she joined Virtuoso, Ltd., as Director of Sales & Marketing, Tour Program, where she managed a portfolio of over 70 tour and specialty operators. In 2010, she established The KCH Travel Portfolio, a sales representation and marketing consultancy designed for niche and specialty travel providers with friend and colleague, Kathleen Cook-Hunter. In 2015, she returned full-time to Backroads. After seeing the company through the ups and downs of Covid-19 and the rebound of travel, she decided to take a summer sabbatical to spend more time with her husband and travel.

She is based in Alameda, CA, where she lives with her husband and dog. Her hobbies include hiking, biking, yoga, sailing and, of course, international travel!
