Three guided days follow: Table Mountain and Bo-Kaap, the Cape Peninsula to Boulders Beach, and the Winelands of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek.
Then a flight carries you to Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, a 60,000-hectare reserve bordering Kruger National Park, famed for its rare white lions and the Big Five.
Four nights at the solar-powered Kambaku Safari Lodge mean shared game drives, bush walks, and evenings beside the waterhole.
