Machaba Safaris has announced the opening of it’s new camp – Verney’s camp – in May 2018. Verney’s Camp is situated in the central eastern part of the Park, on a private concession of 10 000 hectare’s deep within the Hwange National Park.
“The camp is comprised of 10 luxury tents, two of which are family tents. The camp holds a maximum of 24 guests. Pilot and guide accommodation is also available, as is a private vehicle option” said a statement from Machaba Safaris. Management also said “Verney’s Camp will be built in the classical Machaba style with large spacious tents on wooden decks, pathways meandering through the teak forest beneath which the camp resides. The main areas and fireside overlook a large waterhole, typical of Hwange National Park. This waterhole teems with wildlife in the drier months. Gamedrives and walks with armed rangers will be the standard offering with night drives and stargazing in the evenings”. Bushtracks Africa eagerly awaits the opening of this new camp.
