We at Bushtracks Africa are excited to announce the launch of a new Steam Safari experience on the Royal Livingstone Express in Livingstone, Zambia.
The Sunday Lunch Safari is a family-friendly run, which provides the opportunity for travelers of all ages to experience the wonder and beauty of the African bush on board one of our luxurious steam trains. This excursion will initially be offered for a limited period as a seasonal run for Sundays only. Outside of season the experience will only be available to large groups in the off-peak season. The train will travel through the national park, and will pause at a wildlife water pan. This route offers fantastic game viewing opportunities the whole family can enjoy.
The train will depart the station at 11h00 and return at 14h00. Lunch will be served on board, catered by the top chefs from The Royal Livingstone Hotel. A selection of starters and desserts will be served by trolley, and the main course will be a fixed plating. Welcome drinks and local wines and beers will be included in the rate.
After our launch the trial period for commercial bookings for this activity will commence from Sunday 15 December.
