It has even been reported that local prides of lions occasionally attempt to prey on young elephants, due to the abundance of them in the region, which makes for a thrilling and rare sighting.
Of course with the river bordering the park hippos, crocodiles and a variety of unusual African bird life is are easily spotted on a river cruise, making this an all round satisfying destination.
